I am taking a printmaking class!

It’s so relaxing after a morning of teaching (more on that soon!). The first assignment was called a collagraph. We basically glued a whole bunch of assorted flat-ish objects to a piece of matboard, coated it in gloss medium, and ran it through the press. We did this with wet paper/no ink, dry paper/waterbased ink, and wet paper/oilbased ink on Canson cover paper. After that, we carved a linoleum block (I did a cardinal) and printed it with waterbased ink on Reeves Lightweight paper. It’s so hard to get consistent prints & I keep overinking my block!
